Q, I started out on the same path you did, but I think the last bullet of the=20=
problem throughs off your solution=2E It states: "From the first two events each=
=20=
year=2E=2E=2E"
Where your methodology is off is that you can't use the straight=20=
probabilities=2E Look at this problem in two steps=2E
1=2E What is the probability of an event occurring - Posisson with mean =2E3
2=2E Given an event, what is the probability that it is Aircraft or Marine (1/3=20=
and 2/3)
Try this, the answer I got, which although I think my methodology is=20=
correct=2E=2E=2E=2E
But alas, using this methodology, I made a mistake=2E=2E=2E I just looked it ove=
r=20=
agian, and I only found the sum of if N=3D0 and N=3D1, and if N=3D2, but by addin=
g=20=
the extra % points I missed into N=3D2, it pushes the answer to 2,343,180=20=
changing the answer I believe to be correct to D=2E
Damn=2E
