Is it necessary to make a +/- 0.5 continuity correction for discrete
distributions when applying the Central Limit theorem?
I was assuming no, since the central limit without continuity correction
applies for unknown distributions also.
The solution (NEAS) for Q31, Fall 96 uses the continuity correction. An
exam question I did earlier did not use this ( Iam forgetting which year it
was ). I am confused!
