Hello, I am studying from the 1986 version of Bowers, et al, and I wonder if
any of you can tell me which of the excluded sections listed in the CAS
syllabus for the second edition corresponds to the 1986 version. I assume
that the chapter 3 section that is excluded is the section on "Assumptions for
Fractional Ages."

Anyone able to help me out?

Also, am I taking a big chance by not getting the updated version of the text?
