Subject: Actuarial Job Announcement
Actuarial Science Teacher, University of Cairo, Egypt
Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm with
projects in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East
(see www.chemonics.net), is seeking an actuary with teaching experience to
teach two semesters of actuarial science at Cairo University, Egypt.
The assignment, beginning in September 2000 and ending in June 2001,
requires teaching one four-month semester in the fall and one the following
spring to third and fourth year students. Teaching will be done in English
and follow a syllabus designed by the Institute of Actuaries in London. Two
courses will be taught per semester.
The preferred candidate will be available to teach both semesters. Salary
will be based on salary history and experience. Round trip travel expenses
are paid as well as per diem to cover food and lodging for the length of
the assignment.
Please note that only American citizens or U.S. green card holders are
eligible for this assignment.
