At the GIRO conference this year, we will again be announcing the winner
of the Brian Hey Prize. The theme for this year ,s Brian Hey Prize is "The
practical use of Bayesian Techniques in General Insurance." The first
prize will be L1000 and free entry to the conference at the academic
rate. The deadline for the submission of the Prize papers is 2 July
1999. The Prize is open to everyone, actuaries or non-actuaries.
