Besides not always having a 1-to-1 correspondence with SIC codes, codes for this system have varying lengths up to 6 digits and then can be expanded for more precision with a hyphen and seemingly unlimited strings of digits. Just in time for your Year 2000 problems. Be grateful insurance is still state regulated.
