The US Census Bureau is well on its way with their implementation of the
new North American Industry Classification System, or NAICS. These codes
replace the old Standard Industrial Classification, SIC, codes. A myriad
of information is available on the what's, why's, and how's at
http://www.census.gov/epcd/www/naics.html.

Now that you are all orientated to the subject, is anybody using these new
codes yet? The US will start publishing things like the annual "County
Business Patterns" using the new codes with 1998 data published in June,
2000. Is anybody starting to try and collect these?
