Considering this is a problem for a third 3rd grade class, I get :
diamond=38, circle=40, square=440, triangle=88, hexagon=115, oval=230.

I'd be interested to hear what solution you came up with, and the solution the teacher gave (my wife teaches elementary school). I'm not claiming to be a "math professional", but I hope this helps you out.
