I will start work as an actuary next week at a local Chinese general
insurance company. I have already done a little bit of research, and
have found that getting data, just like anywhere else in the world, but
more specifically in China, is a big problem. Of course, an open
insurance market is fairly new to China, so I don't expect huge amounts
of data.
I would appreciate any suggestions you might have on acquiring
comparative general insurance data (detailed or not) for the (relatively
new) Chinese insurance market. That is: websites, articles, books,
personal experiences, comparisons with other Asian countries, etc.
Thanks for any help that might give me a smooth start...
Kind regards,
Rob van Horssen
