RE: entry-level actuary

I am a student in Seattle (four and a half exams). I work for a smaller
company (there is only one other actuarial-type, an ACAS, working for my
company) and we do not have anything at this time. I cannot speak for
any of the other employers in the area. The largest actuarial employer
in Seattle is SAFECO, you should be able to check their site at
www.safeco.com. In my experience, the Northwest is a much smaller job
market than many regions of the country, and I had to work hard to find
both my first actuarial job, and my current position once my first job
got downsized. Good luck.
