These are the main Ontario substandard insurers and their head office
contacts:

Facility Association Bernie Webber (416) 361 7177
Kingsway Bill Starr (905) 629 7883
Pafco Joe English (416) 231 2333
Progressive William Connor (416) 499 9947

{Note: These are not actuaries.}

Each of these companies uses a consulting actuary, as none has their own
actuary on staff. I think Pafco is the only one with a CAS student
(Hania Zieba). The contacts mentioned above are known to Jim Christie.

In the provinces of Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia
mandatory insurance coverages are provided by the provincial governments.
Optional coverages may be provided by others.

Hope this is helpful and please let me know if you need more information.

Good morning to all,

I am looking for information on Substandard risk auto insurers in North
America. I am working in France and I would like to know if there are
people on this list that are either working for such an insurer, or know
somebody that do.

Thank you
