Meeting Overview
The 2005 Spring Meeting of the Casualty Actuarial Society provides a forum for actuaries and other professionals to stay abreast of current issues affecting the insurance industry. This meeting will allow actuaries to pursue their continuing education requirements.
General sessions are planned on a variety of topics including
- Actuarial Accountability - In a Changing World
- The Industry's Ability to Attract Capital Given Historically Low ROE
- The Actuarial Role in Mergers and Acquisitions
- The Future of Finite Insurance
The featured speaker is Ron Pressman. In addition, a variety of concurrent sessions are planned.
Networking and Guest Activities
Time has been allotted for informal discussion with other CAS members. In addition to two scheduled receptions, attendees and accompanying persons will enjoy a western barbecue and entertainment at Rustler's Rooste Barn on Tuesday evening. Please see the guest activity program for details. Also note that an optional resort services fee of $8/day per suite allows guests unlimited local phone calls, in-suite coffee, delivery of USA Today, use of the fitness center, admission to The Oasis Water Park, and high speed internet.
