Meeting Overview
The 2004 Spring Meeting of the Casualty Actuarial Society provides a forum for actuaries and other professionals to stay abreast of current issues affecting the insurance industry. This meeting will allow actuaries to pursue their continuing education requirements.
General sessions are planned on a variety of topics including
- The Truth About Loss Reserve Adequacy
- Professionalism Standards in Practice
- A Proposed Global Framework for Insurer Solvency Assessment
- Fair Value Accounting- Can it Work?
A variety of concurrent sessions are also planned.

2004 Discussion Paper Program
Abstracts of the discussion papers (.pdf) on “Applying and Evaluating Generalized Linear Models” that will be presented at the Spring Meeting meeting are now available. The Discussion Paper Program book, containing the full text of the papers, will be posted in the near future.
Networking and Guest Activities
Time has been allotted for informal discussion with other CAS members. In addition to two scheduled
receptions, attendees and accompanying persons will enjoy a Western Barbeque on Tuesday evening at the
