The 2001 Spring Meeting of the Casualty Actuarial Society is not only a forum for actuaries and other professionals to stay abreast of current issues affecting the insurance industry, but it's also a great way for actuaries to pursue their continuing education requirements. General sessions are planned on a variety of topics including issues in enterprise risk management, a worldwide look at catastrophes, expert systems, technology and fraud, and the global village: casualty actuaries meeting the challenges of international markets. Mike Jensen of NBC News is the featured speaker. This meeting will feature a discussion paper program on the topic, "Financial and Accounting Systems and Issues Associated with the Globalization of Insurance." A variety of concurrent sessions are also planned. Time has been allotted for informal discussion with other CAS members. In addition to two scheduled receptions, attendees and accompanying persons will enjoy a Caribbean Festival at the resort. Please see the guest activity program for details.
