The actuary is a fundamental part of the process of valuing insurance-related enterprises. While valuations are most commonly performed as part of a merger or acquisition, valuation techniques are essential in gauging the performance of ongoing entities. The 2000 Valuation of Insurance Operations Seminar will explore topics ranging from detailed discussions of actuarial techniques to how external agencies value insurance entities. Professionals from both inside and outside of the insurance industry will give their perspectives on all facets of the process, as well as the actuary's role.

Target Audience

The program is aimed at actuaries at all levels who need to be current on valuation techniques and merger and acquisition activity. It will also be beneficial to other professionals interested in learning more about how actuaries, accountants and investment professionals evaluate insurance operations.
