2004 Special Interest Seminar- Predictive Modeling

Dear Predictive Modeling Seminar Attendees,

Who could have predicted this? Because of the overwhelming popularity of the Casualty Actuarial Society October Special Interest Seminar on Predictive Modeling, attendance figures have sky rocketed!

Due to the tremendous popularity of the Seminar, everyone will be staying at the Omni Chicago Hotel, while the CAS has moved the program a short 1 ½ blocks away. In lieu of turning away nearly two hundred registrations, the CAS has contracted new meeting space at the InterContinental Hotel.

We are asking for your cooperation on a very important matter regarding hotel accommodations. If you have reserved a sleeping room at the Omni Chicago Hotel please do not cancel this reservation. As a means to avoid contractual obligations of up to $25,000 on lost food and beverage revenue to the Omni Chicago Hotel, the CAS has agreed to honor all reservations at the Omni Chicago. Cancelled reservations will result in considerable financial penalties to the CAS. Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated. We feel this is the best solution to accommodate all of the interested attendees. While this is new to CAS events, many other large meetings and conventions use multiple locations.

For your convenience, please note that breakfast will be served at the Omni Chicago Hotel where the attendees are staying. The General and Concurrent Sessions as well as lunch and the Reception on Monday evening will be held at the InterContinential Hotel.

Please be advised that the CAS Staff will do everything possible to make this transition as smooth as possible. For your convenience, registration desks will open at both Omni Chicago Hotel and InterContinental Hotel. CAS Staff will be stationed at these registration desks throughout the Seminar to answer questions and fulfill requests.

Following are addresses for the sleeping accommodations and meeting rooms:
Lodging— Omni Chicago located at 676 North Michigan Avenue
Meeting Rooms— InterContinental Chicago located at 505 North Michigan Avenue

An updated meeting schedule is available.

We do appreciate your patience and understanding. Please do not hesitate to contact CAS Meetings with any questions or concerns at 703-276-3100 or meetings@casact.org.
