Registration Form

The fee for enrollment is $500 ($767 Canadian) for CAS/ARIA members, subscribers and active candidates, and $600 ($920 Canadian) for non-members. An active candidate of the CAS is one who has attempted at least one CAS actuarial exam in the last two calendar years.

The registration fee includes two continental breakfasts, two receptions, a luncheon on Monday, refreshment breaks, and all materials needed for the seminar.

All fees will increase by $50 ($80 Canadian) if registration is received after March 19, 1999. The CAS Office staff will send a confirmation by regular mail to all registered attendees.

Lodging

The 1999 CAS Seminar on Financial Risk Management will be held at the Denver Marriott City Center, 1701 California Street, Denver, Colorado 80202, (303) 297-1300. The hotel is located in the heart of the downtown financial district, and only a short walk to many attractions.

A limited number of rooms have been reserved for the evenings of April 11, 12, and 13. Rates are $139 for a single or double room, per night, plus taxes. Hotel reservations must be made by March 19, 1999, and can be made by calling (303) 297-1300. Please specify that you are attending the Financial Risk Management Seminar when making reservations to receive the negotiated group rate.

Transportation

The Denver Marriott City Center is located 45 minutes away from the Denver International Airport. Transportation to and from the airport is available through Super Shuttle, which departs the airport every 15 minutes from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight. Tickets can be purchased at the Super Shuttle booth upon arrival, located between the gates and the baggage claim area. The cost of a ticket is $17 each way or $30 round trip. Cancellation Policy

Registration fees will be refunded for cancellations received by March 26, 1999, less a $50 processing fee. Only written cancellations will be honored. Cancellations will be accepted by fax at (703) 276-3108 or by e-mail at office@casact.org.

Please note that the Denver Marriott City Center requires that hotel reservations be cancelled by 6:00 PM on the arrival date. If reservations are not cancelled, you will be charged for a one-night stay.

Suggested Attire

Business casual attire is suggested for all sessions, including the receptions. Since temperatures may vary in meeting rooms, it is recommended that you bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions. The average temperature for Denver during the month of April is 46 F.
