The 1999 Financial Risk Management Seminar presents an opportunity to keep our colleagues abreast with the rapidly evolving financial issues facing the insurance industry. Sponsored in partnership with the American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA), this first time offered seminar will focus on both the theoretical and practical application of financial instruments used by the property/ casualty insurance industry. In addition to presenting a Basic Track that will address the mechanics of financial instruments, experts in the field will provide in-depth discussions on the development and implementation of property/casualty specific products and special offerings. Finally, case studies will be presented that will demonstrate how companies are applying financial risk managenient tools and the perspectives of parties on both sides of the transactions explored.
The program is aimed at experienced actuaries who need to be current on the issues and the tools used for the management of financial risk. It will also be beneficial to actuaries and other professionals interested in learning more about the latest developments within this expanding and complex topic.
