The aim of the annual CAS Special Interest Seminar on Dynamic Financial Analysis is to enhance the actuary's role in the business planning process by integrating traditionally less familiar asset-based concepts with the more familiar liability concepts. This year, the seminar will highlight, in case study formats, the numerous recent contributions of authors responding to the CAS Call Paper Program on DFA: Applications and Uses. The quality and quantity of the call papers submitted register yet another milestone in our quest to further the casualty actuary's DFA knowledge. Both the depth and breadth of sessions has been enhanced. The Basic Track has been redesigned so as to stand alone as a rigorous introduction to DFA concepts. The case study formats will aim to provide actuaries with needed practical applications of DFA, while other sessions will expand the actuary's knowledge base into less developed arenas.
Target Audience
This seminar has been designed with the flexibility to further the educational pursuits of actuaries of all experience levels. The primary goal is to encourage the interchange of ideas through the presentation of practical applications and uses of DFA.
