  • Joint Day and Overlap with the ASTIN Colloquium

ASTIN is a premier international organization devoted to furthering actuarial research in property, casualty, and health insurance. This year's ASTIN Colloquium will overlap with the CARe seminar. The ASTIN Colloquium will begin on Sunday night, July 8 and end on Wednesday, July 11. It will include a Gala Dinner on Tuesday night and will feature the presentation of research papers prepared by actuaries from many different countries. The CARe seminar will begin on Wednesday, July 11. The first day of the CARe seminar will be jointly sponsored by ASTIN and the CARe committee. Most of the sessions on the joint day will be sponsored by the CARe committee and will follow the standard format of the CARe seminar. The joint day will also feature several paper presentations sponsored by ASTIN. It will provide CAS members with a great opportunity to learn about the work being done by ASTIN members, and it will give CAS members the chance to network with actuaries from outside the United States.

We encourage CAS members to sign up for both meetings in order to conveniently participate in an ASTIN meeting. There is a fee discount for those who choose to attend both meetings. Within this brochure, we are offering CAS members the opportunity to sign up for either the CARe Seminar or both the ASTIN and CARe seminars together.

  • Continuing Education

This seminar will enable actuaries and other professionals to update their knowledge of reinsurance and to help meet their continuing professional education requirements.
