The 2005 Seminar on Ratemaking provides a forum for presenting and discussing ratemaking methods, concepts, and issues. Sessions are available for insurance professionals with ratemaking knowledge levels varying from limited to advanced. As in past years, an introductory track is offered to those wanting to better understand various actuarial methods and issues. This seminar is an opportunity for actuaries, CPCUs, and other insurance professionals to further their continuing education.
The seminar will kick off with a keynote address by Dr. Robert Hartwig, Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at the Insurance Information Institute in New York. Dr. Hartwig will provide an informative, entertaining, and energetic look at the ratemaking actuary's contribution to the underwriting cycle, and will entertain questions from attendees at the conclusion of his presentation. Also being offered are over 50 different concurrent sessions, covering data management and technology, workers compensation, commercial lines, personal lines, risk and capital management, regulatory, reinsurance, and specialty topics.
