The Casualty Actuarial Society is introducing a variety of engaging, creative and interactive online courses on cutting edge topics that are important to casualty actuaries.
The courses feature real-life examples, as case studies, to show how a member can apply the content.
- Understanding the CAS Discipline Wherever You Practice Course
- Introduction to Predictive Modeling Course
- Statistics for Reserve Variability Series
Unlike a webinar, these are a self-paced courses that you can take anytime and anywhere for as long as you need! And you can revisit any of the topics covered at your convenience.
The course features several new interactive features including:
- Matching exercises
- Knowledge checks
- Definition bubbles, and much more!
The CAS's learning portal is based on an HTML5 site, so it is suggested that you use the following HTML5 compatible browsers:
- Internet Explorer 9 or higher
- Mozilla Firefox 3.6 or higher
- Safari 3.6 or higher
- Google Chrome
You may withdraw from an interactive online course at any time. However, once you are registered and have logged in to the course, you will not receive a refund.
CAS Continuing Education Policy
Participants should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. CAS members earn 1 CE Credit per 50 minutes of educational session time.
*The amount of CE credit that can be earned for participating in this activity must be assessed by the individual attendee. It also may be different for individuals who are subject to the requirements of organizations other than the Casualty Actuarial Society.
