The CAS Professional Education Department provides you with an array of opportunities to fill your continuing education needs. We have a great mix of live and online offerings designed to make you a better professional. CAS educational programming is brought to you live and 24 hours a day/7 days a week. UCAS

The CAS has launched an all new continuing education endeavor. Visit the University of CAS to begin an all new experience in education. UCAS provides a virtual world of opportunities to help enhance your professional education needs. Through capture of live content from CAS meetings and seminars UCAS will offer a variety of session presentations, audio recordings, podcasts, and recorded webinars.

Find great timely topics relevant to keeping you informed about actuarial related issues in an affordable way. Feel free to suggest a topic if you don’t see a subject matter covered here currently.

Limited Attendance Seminars

CAS provides you with multiple opportunities each year to learn in a small and nurturing environment. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 35-40 students in most cases and many will last only one day.

Online Courses

The CAS offers a series of three-week online courses to introduce casualty actuaries to Enterprise Risk Management. The courses consist of a series of lectures, readings, and a final exam. The courses will be administered over the Internet using the CAS Web Site.

Course on Professionalism

The Course on Professionalism is designed to make the candidate aware of the requirements of the CAS, CIA, and AAA regarding the conduct of the actuary in the performance of his or her duties. Candidates must successfully complete the Course on Professionalism to achieve the designation: Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
