Information on RESNET
What is RESNET?
RESNET is an email list regarding P&C reserving topics. Subscribers are free to discuss any topic that might be of interest to people who have reserving in common. Sample topics could include:

reserving methodology,
reserve ranges,
principles and practices,
examination reserving topics,
research topics,
regulatory concerns,
and reserving paper surveys.
How do I join RESNET?
To subscribe to RESNET, send an email to the CAS Office with your request to join. Your request should include:
- your full name
- date of birth
- subscription mode (standard or digest; see below) and
- email address
Once you have been added to the list, a confirmation email will be returned that includes a set of guidelines and instructions on participating in the list. Those subscribing to the list are expected to adhere to the guidelines. Membership in the CAS is not required.
What is the Standard version of RESNET , and how do I subscribe?
In the standard version of RESNET, you will recieve each email sent to RESNET as they are submitted.
What is the Digest version of RESNET, and how do I subscribe?
Once subscribed in digest mode, you will receive a single email message every 24-hours with each RESNET message that was posted the previous day.
If you are already a subscriber and wish to receive the Digest Version, send an email the CAS Office with your request to change from standard mode to digest mode. If you are a new subscriber, follow the instructions under "How do I join RESNET" above.
How do I send a message to the list?
To send a message to the list, address the message to RESNET@lists.casact.org and the message will be distributed to everyone on the list.
How do I remove myself from the RESNET list?
To stop receiving messages from RESNET, you will need to send a message to the list manager at leave-RESNET@lists.casact.org with an empty subject line and empty body.
You should receive a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. If you send the command to unsubscribe but you are still getting messages, you could be subscribed under a different email address. In this case, contact the CAS Office and you will be removed from the list manually.
