2002 CAGNY Communication Seminar
Dear CAGNY Colleague:
CAGNY is pleased to announce that it will offer a seminar on communication skills to be held on September 30, 2002 at the ISO building in Jersey City, NJ. The seminar will be an encore of the highly acclaimed session "How to Talk so People Will Listen", presented by Gerald A. August, a communication consultant, at the 2002 CAS Spring meeting in San Diego.
The seminar will show you how to present yourself and your ideas in a professional and cogent manner. Specific topics include:
- Self presentation
- Use of visuals
- Organization of material
- Techniques to make any presentation interesting
A continental breakfast will be served at 8:30AM followed by the seminar at 9:00AM. The first three hours will include lecture and exercises. After a buffet sandwich lunch, attendees will have the opportunity to further apply their communication skills, including a videotaped exercise. The seminar will end by 3:30 PM. Directions to the ISO building and a registration form are attached. The attire for the meeting is business casual.
The seminar fee is $100 and attendance is limited to the first 20 registrants. Because of the attendance restrictions for this seminar, NO REFUNDS OF REGISTRATION FEES WILL BE OFFERED. In lieu of cancellation, you are welcome to send someone in your place, provided we are notified by September 26th. We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to seeing you at this extremely valuable seminar.
